Cebu – a province known for its thriving economy, dynamic food scene, crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and warm people. You have this incredible wanderlust telling you to book that ticket to come and visit. But one question keeps bugging your mind – What can I do in Cebu? That’s a question that’s both easy and difficult to answer. Easy, because of the myriad of activities that you can do. But difficult, because you will find it hard to choose just one. Don’t worry, we’ll try to make it easier for you travel junkies. Whether you’re a beach bum, an outdoorsy person, a history buff, or a foodie – here are seven different adventures for each type of traveler:
1. Beach Bumming

Camotes Island

Camotes Island

Does lounging on a cabana surrounded by a long stretch of fine white sand, overlooking vibrant blue waters and with coconut trees over your head seem like your kind of vibe? Better pack your bags, stock up with sunscreen, and book that flight to Cebu because its white sand beaches will definitely take you to a tropical state of mind.

With so many beaches to choose from, the only problem you’re going to face is where to go first. If you’re pressed for time, the historic resort city of Mactan is just an hour away from the city center. If you have ample time for a beach getaway, sail over to the pristine beaches of Bantayan Island, Camotes Island or Sumilon Island. You can opt to go to the popular Basdaku and Panagsama Beaches in Moalboal, or the hidden gems of Aloguinsan, Alcoy, and Badian.

2. Island Hopping and Sea Adventures (Insert Photo)

Do you want to do something more exciting? Go beyond the beach and explore the clear waters and rich marine life of Cebu. Book a “bangka” (small boat) and explore the nearby Islands of Caohagan, Nalusuan, Gilutungan, and Pandanon Island. There, you can go snorkeling, visit the marine sanctuaries, swim around, or have a feast onboard.

For avid divers and snorkelers, the province also has noteworthy diving spots such as Malapascua, Pescador Island, and Santander. Swim with marine life with the Sardines Run in Moalboal or the Whale Sharks in Oslob.

3. Chasing Waterfalls (Insert Photo)
If you’re more inclined to adventures in the mountainside, Cebu has tons of activities and destinations that will surely satisfy your wanderlust. One of which is chasing waterfalls all around the different municipalities of the province.

Chase majestic waterfalls through Southern Cebu and conquer Kawasan Falls in Badian, Mantayupan Falls in Barili, Pityak Falls in Dumanjud, Lusno Falls in Ronda, Cambais and Canlaob Falls in Alegria, Montaneza and Kabutongan Falls in Malabuyoc, Inambakan Falls in Ginatilan, Dau, Binalayan, and Aguinid Falls in Samboan, Kan-amno Falls in Boljoon, and Tumalog Falls in Oslob. There will be a lot of trekking or traversing involved, so better bring along proper gears with you. The journey towards these waterfalls might be tiring, but the stunning view and cool waters waiting for you at the end will definitely be worth it.

4. Feel the Adrenaline Rush (Insert Photo)
For adrenaline junkies out there who are endlessly seeking for adventures to pump them up, Cebu is ready to widen your options with exhilarating outdoor adventures.

Did you know that you can do Ziplining, Horseback riding, traversing, rappelling, trekking, ATV and 4-wheel riding all in one place on top of the mountains of Danao? How about the existence of Gibitngil or Fantastic Island in Medellin where you can do things like cliff jump/dive, Tarzan jump, zipline, snorkel, feed the fishes, and hang out at the Watchtower? Or maybe you’ve heard about Canyoneering from Alegria to Badian? If you haven’t, then you’re definitely missing a whole lot.
