Primiero Wins BPop A Capella Challenge 2019

After witnessing last year’s BPop A Capella Challenge, nine people decided to form their own group to become the “Primiero”, named after Primary Group of Builders who are the main organizer of the competition.

Primiero then went on to bag the Grand Champion Award last November 9, 2019 at the SM Seaside City SkyHall with their winning performance of the ‘Kasadya’ and ‘Discoral’.

They received P50,000 in cash, a trophy and guesting contracts with Primary Group of Builders worth P50,000. The Basics won 1st Runner Up and received P30,000 and a trophy, while Arkapella bagged the 2nd Runner Up award. They received P20,000 and a trophy. They also were all given record deals for a Christmas album that was released during the event, through Spotify, Deezer, and Youtube.

Hidelyn of Primiero said that with their success in winning the BPop A Capella Challenge, they hope to develop further their talents and join in more competitions, even international, to one day bring honor to the Cebu and the country.

The event, which was also organized to also raise funds for the Primary Structures Educational Foundation Inc. – School of Knowledge, Industrial labor, Leadership and Services (PSEFI-SKILLS) Foundation, drew in a huge crowd raising P750,000 from 1,500 tickets sold this year. The amount will help at least 45 people to study for free under the foundation.

The event was presented by Primary Group of Builders: Primary Structures, PrimaryHomesInc, Concrete Solutions Integrated, Primary Properties Inc, Cebu South Port, Light Strong, Maayo Well and Maayo Hotel with our Bronze Sponsors: Ramagal Door & Sash Manufacturing, Union Galvasteel, VIC Enterprises, Wood Classics, Boysen, and Cebu Steel; and Donors: Regan Industrial Sales Inc., Mactan Grains Terminal and Bebo Management.

They also partnered with Pop District Bazaar featuring several merchants including Peregrina Shop, Pretty Crafts, Smartieshirt Apparel, Jzcas Healthy Food Select, Go Bloom and Glow and Charme.

Primary Group of Builders chief executive officer William Liu Jr., who was one of the judges, said they will continue with the A Capella competition as it pictures synergy because of the need to be synchronized in terms of your voice, in harmony, and team work.

“This also represents the Primary Group of Builders which is composed of several companies that works together with synergy and innovation,” he said.
