The South Road Properties is set to welcome two new lifestyle centers and a major infrastructure that will surely boost the economic activity in the area.

Cebu Ocean Park

The largest oceanarium in the country is set to open in the area within the year and is seen to boost Cebu’s tourism.

The facility is located along SM Seaside City Cebu Complex and is being developed by the Cebu Sealife Park Inc., which is the same team that built the Manila Ocean Park.

The Cebu Ocean Park is seven meters deep showcasing a 360-degree viewing tunnel that houses thousands of the world’s marine species.

Aside from the marine animals, the park also features a Jungle Trek and Creepy Critters where guests can enjoy watching other animals such as lorikeets, reptiles and insects and get to have close encounters with select animals at the Fish Spa, Bird Feeding area, Stingray Interaction and Crocodile Cage.

World-class artificial football stadium

Another exciting development at the South Road Properties is Cebu’s first world-class artificial football field developed in accordance with the international standards.

Developed by the Dynamic Herb Sports Inc., the multi-million stadium is being built in a 1.2 hectare property along the South Road Properties, which is divided into two phases.

Phase 1 is the stadium while Phase 2 is the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex, an indoor arena which will house several sporting events like futsal, basketball, badminton, tennis and volleyball, to name a few.

Interior works for Phase 1 is already 80 percent complete while the football field is already 100 percent completed.

Phase 1 boasts of the artificial football field that is complete with facilities including comfort rooms, canteen, shower rooms, locker rooms and bleachers that can accommodate about 500 persons by proper seating.

Aside from football, the stadium will also cater the sports rugby, baseball, and frisbee.

Development of the second phase will start as soon as Phase 1 is completed, which officials said they target by last quarter of this year.

Cebu-Cordova Expressway

Accessibility and connectivity is also expected to improve come 2021 once the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) completes the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEx).

The 8.5-kilometer CCLEx will have a two-lane road, a main bridge, a viaduct at Cordova, an eight-lane toll plaza and a causeway.

With the expressway built, it could help cut travel time from Mactan to Cebu by half especially those travelling to the south part.

Come home to Almond Drive
